Police found the man and his passenger in a wooded area in the drivers 2008 Chevrolet Impala with extensive damage to the vehicle.

EMS responded to the scene shortly after 3 AM after responding to reports of the automobile accident and found the vehicle on its left side, with the driver and passenger in serious condition.

Police on the scene reported that the two occupants of the vehicle were driver Jonathan Lydon of Wareham, 20 and passenger, identified as Jordan Lopes, 20 of Wareham, MA.

Lopes was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver, Lydon was sent to Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA for treatment. His injuries were not life threatening according to police and medical personnel.
