In Falmouth car accident attorney news today, a two-car crash Friday afternoon right near our offices at 140 Locust Street in Falmouth sent three people to the hospital, one which was flown via MedFlight helicopter to Boston with serious injuries.

Falmouth woman Olive Beverly, 94, was pulling her 2005 Toyota Prius out parking lot of the restaurant to make a left turn onto Palmer Avenue, according to the police records.  Olive apparently did not see the  2005 Pontiac Vibe, driven by Daniel Fleer, 17, of West Falmouth who was heading north.

Unfortunately, the vehicles violently collided in a head-on collision.

The passenger in the Pontiac was Fleer’s father, who told a Times reporter had absolutely no chance to stop his vehicle. He incredulously asked:

“How could she not see the red car coming?”

Beverly was given a citation by Falmouth police for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.

Unfortunately, all of the three people who were in the previous were injured with one passenger seriously injured. That passenger needed to be flown in the med flight helicopter to a Boston hospital.

Beverly and the other passenger in the Prius were taken to Falmouth Hospital with injuries that were minor and not life-threatening.

Fleer and his passenger reported minor injuries, according to the police report.

Palmer Avenue was closed for over 30 minutes while the injured parties were treated. This caused massive traffic snarls in downtown Falmouth.
