The car chase and subsequent car accident took down a utility pole, according to Providence police.

According to police reports, Providence police were responding to to a report of shots fired on the premisis and found the four occupants of the car. Police ordered them to get out of their vehicle.

Much to the surprise of the police, the car sped away. This then resulted in what police refer to as a “short chase”, the car then crashed into a telephone pole.

One of the occupants of the vehicle was charged with possession of a firearm…

Providence police also found narcotics in the car…

Additionally, the driver of the vehicle was charged with operating a stolen vehicle, reckless driving and if that wasn’t enough…driving with a suspended license.

The four occupants of the car were transported to Rhode Island Hospital and treated for their injuries. Their names will likely be released later this week according to Lt. Dean Isabella of the Providence police department.
